2019 TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT SPECTACULAR EVENT

Live Performances and 24 Awards Presented at Billy Bob’s Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards

TCMA Energized Texas Country Music Industry Once Again

FORT WORTH, TX (Sunday, September 22, 2019) – For Texas Country Music fans from all over, the Fort Worth Stockyards was the place to be on Sunday September 22 as the Texas Country Music Association presented a spectacular event with the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards at Billy Bob’s Texas.  This was the event’s second year in Fort Worth according to Linda Wilson, President and Founder of TCMA and once again proved why the Texas Country Music industry has exploded.  The high energy event included a host of Texas artists spanning decades of Country music such as TCMA Spokesperson Brandon Rhyder who also co-hosted the event for the 3rd year in a row with Jenn Ford, along with Texas Artists Cory Morrow, Randall King, Holly Tucker, Zane Williams, Bri Bagwell, Andrew Sevener and Curtis Grimes.

Top fan and industry-voted Awards were presented in 24 categories related to Texas Country Music and Christian Country Music.

The 2019 Texas Country Music Awards was brought to you once again by Title Sponsor, The Hotel Drover at the Fort Worth Stockyards, an Autograph Collection Hotel opening on Mule Alley in 2020.   A destination boutique hotel in the tradition of the great ranches of Texas, the new Hotel Drover will offer rustic comfort and the truly special brand of genuine hospitality only Texas can deliver.

Radio Stations 95.9 THE RANCH and 92.1 HANK-FM in Fort Worth were the event’s media sponsor.  Other sponsors included Love and War in Texas, American Hat Company, Audio Realm Studios, Texas Artist Will Carter, Gruene Road Cases, Justin Boots, Cinch Jeans, The Rustic, OnPoint Roofing, Firestone & Robertson Distillery TX Whiskey, Schoepf’s BBQ, NRS (National Roper’s Supply), Vibe9 Monitors, Yankin’ Lips Fishing Co and more.

The Texas Country Music Awards was produced for the 3nd year in a row by well-known record producer Chad Mauldin of Mauldin Productions from Gilmer TX, along with 2nd year Executive Director Chris Romain of Jett Danger Entertainment and Split Window Studios.

The event kicked off with the Red-Carpet interviews at 3:00pm and hosted by TCMA’s Kris Young assisted by Erin Wilde of 92.1 Hank FM.  Musician and Songwriter of the Year awards took place during the pre-show at 4:00pm and included performances by 2018 Country Band of the Year Darrin Morris Band, 2018 Artist Scholarship Recipient Monty Dawson Band, 2019 Christian Songwriter of the Year Justin Todd Herod and 2019 Country Songwriter of the Year Bryan Martin.

The main Awards ceremony began at 6:00pm with greetings from TCMA Founders, President and Executive Vice President Linda and Richard Wilson, followed by a video welcome from Mr. Red Steagall.  The opening prayer was offered by Christian Country Artist and Christian Country Songwriter award winner Justin Todd Herod, and a video was sent from Neal McCoy leading the Pledge of Allegiance.  TCMA’s Richard Wilson sang the National Anthem.

TCMA President Linda Wilson presented the 2019 Artist Scholarship to upcoming artist Daniel Sampley and dedicated the award to seven people who passed that touched the Texas Country Music industry:   Texas Country Music Artist Kylie Rae Harris, American Hat Company’s Keith Maddox, Guitarist with Nickle Draft David Broadway, Country Artist Danny Leon Miller, Guitarist Wes Day, Drummer Russell Wilson and Christian Country singer/songwriter Gunner Carr.

Assisting with Trophy presentations were not only performers and finalists, but also Joe Kelly with CDX Traction TX Nashville, Texas State Representative Bill Zedler and Jenna Kinard, Executive Chef of the Hotel Drover located in the Fort Worth Stockyards and its new signature restaurant and bar, 97 West.  Handling trophies and directing participants on stage were coordinator Jada Young, Fitness Trainer Calli Bowley and Miss Paige Young.  “There were literally over 100 volunteers and TCMA Members to help put this amazing event together and we could not have done it without each and every one.” says Linda Wilson.

Many of the top Award categories included not only the designation and trophy but special gifts provided by event sponsors.  Entertainer of the Year, Male and Female Vocalist of the Year categories received a trip to Las Vegas for NFR with Gold Buckle seating and a stay at the Silverton Casino Hotel compliments of Title Sponsor the Hotel Drover at the Fort Worth Stockyards.  Mr. Gary P. Nunn was presented with a certificate for a custom hat from American Hat Company; the Emerging New Artist was presented a set of Vibe9 Monitors valuing at $1900; Young Artist (16 and under) was presented a single recording session by Chad Mauldin of Mauldin Productions and other winners received a pair of boots from Justin Boots, Jeans from Cinch Jeans, a custom capo from Kyser Musical Products, t-shirts and koozies from Yankin’ Lips Fishing Company.

All finalists received swag bags filled with gift items and certificates from many sponsors.

Along with the 24 Awards presented at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards, TCMA’s prestigious “Trailblazer Award” was presented to Mr. Gary P Nunn for his long-standing career and the unprecedented leadership and success he’s obtained Texas Country Music.  "TCMA is very excited and pleased to have presented Mr. Gary P. Nunn the 2019 Trailblazer Award as part of the Awards Ceremony.  He certainly ‘blazed the trail’ for others and he’s very deserving to be honored." says Linda Wilson, President and Founder of the Texas Country Music Association.  Presenting the Award were Stockyards developer, Craig Cavileer and Operations Manager for Love and War in Texas’ Cathi Maxwell.

The 2019 Texas Country Music Awards was covered by media from all over Texas as well as other states.  The event was filmed and by professional videographer Delano Bryant and his team.  Footage will be edited for television to air on the Texas Country Network, ROKU and other broadcast outlets.

The five Award Finalists in each of the categories came as a result of nominations and final round voting that took place between May and July of 2019.

TCMA’s 2019 Artist’s Scholarship was presented to Texas artist singer/songwriter Daniel Sampley from Sanger, Texas.  The Artist’s Scholarship will pay to have one single recorded, mixed and mastered at Split Window Studios; single distribution by CDX Traction TX; a music video by Chris Romain; and a one-year Artist Sponsorship from American Hat Company.

The Texas Country Music Association’s mission is to promote and enhance the Texas Country Music industry, its artists, songwriters, musicians, venues, media, and businesses behind the scenes to make it all happen.  “We’re already planning the 2020 Texas Country Music Awards but from now until then we have big plans that will certainly continue to energize the Texas Country Music industry, and all involved in it.” says TCMA Executive Vice President Richard Wilson.  He mentions a few successful projects already live such as the Texas Country Music Chart, Texas Country Music Radio online, Texas Country OnScene television show, and Texas Country Music Television online.  TCMA President Linda Wilson adds, “We have a few more projects that will be in place within weeks.  Our ROKU Channel is already live, and we are launching the Texas Country Network within just a few weeks.”  One project she mentions that is included in distant future are the development of the Texas Country Music Museum to be located in Fort Worth. “That will take a little more time, funds, sponsors and help, but we will get it done.” Mrs. Wilson says.

In addition, TCMA is spearheading a nationwide promotion for Christian Country Music.  Information and details will be available in October.

24 Texas Country Music Awards To Be Presented September 22nd

At Billy Bob’s Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards

FORT WORTH, TX (May 29, 2019) -- The Texas Country Music Association announced today the Top 5 Finalists in each of the 21 categories for the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards as a result of nominations that were made between April 1 and May 15, 2019.

Final Round Voting is between June 1 and July 15, 2019 on the TCMA website at www.texascountrymusic.org.  The winners will be announced at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards which will take place on Sunday, September 22 in the Fort Wort Stockyards at Billy Bob’s Texas.  Many industry professionals and artists will be on hand to announce the winners and present the Awards to the recipients.

The 2019 Texas Country Music Awards is brought to you by the Hotel Drover in the Fort Worth Stockyards and Stockyards Heritage, and is presented by Texas Country Music Association.  Media sponsors for 2019 are 92.1 HANK-FM and 95.9 KFWR The Ranch.

The Awards ceremony will be hosted by TCMA Spokesperson and Texas Country Artist, Brandon Rhyder, who will also perform at the event.  Co-hosting the Awards ceremony is Jenn Ford, also a Texas Country Music Artist who co-hosted the 2017 and 2018 Awards with Rhyder.

Popular Texas Country artist Cory Morrow will headline the Awards program and will perform the finale.  There will be performances by not only Brandon Rhyder but also Curtis Grimes, Bri Bagwell, Randall King, Zane Williams, Holly Tucker and Andrew Sevener, along with others that will be announced as schedules are confirmed.

Red Carpet Interviews begin at 3:00pm the day of the Awards with Red Carpet host and TCMA Vice President Kris Young.  The doors open to the public at Billy Bob’s at 2:00pm, and at 4:00pm there will be an Awards Pre-Show showcasing just a few of the TCMA Member Artists and Musician Awards will be presented.   The official Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.  There will be an after-party right there at Billy Bob’s at the conclusion of the evening.

The 2019 Texas Country Music Awards will be covered by media from all over Texas and filmed for future broadcast on the Texas Country Network and it’s ROKU channel with over 27 million monthly subscribers, as well as other broadcast outlets. Texas Country Music Association’s Annual Awards Event to Be Held

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (May 20, 2019) – The Texas Country Music Association announced today that the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards which will be held in the world-famous Fort Worth Stockyards at the World’s largest Honky Tonk, Billy Bob’s Texas on Sunday, September 22, will include several top Texas Country Music performers.

Linda Wilson, Founder and President of TCMA says, “We’re very excited to announce the awesome lineup for this year’s Texas Country Music Awards!  Twenty-four awards will be presented at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards.  The prestigious “Trailblazer Award” will be presented to Gary P. Nunn.  There will be performances by TCMA Spokesperson Brandon Rhyder along with Curtis Grimes, Bri Bagwell, Zane Williams, Randall King, Holly Tucker and Andrew Sevener who is currently in the top 4 season finale on The Voice.  More performers will be announced later.  I can’t express how excited we are about this year’s Awards ceremony that will be held in the Fort Worth Stockyards at Billy Bob’s.  We look forward to once again honoring the artists, musicians, songwriters, venues, media and others involved in the industry who are from and perform throughout State of Texas.”

“This will be a full weekend of Texas Country Music in the Stockyards with the Awards as the finale on Sunday and an after-party right there at Billy Bob’s.  We can’t wait to be able to shine a light on the great music and those in the Texas Country Music industry.  It’s most definitely the biggest event for Texas Country and going to be a blast again this year.” says TCMA Executive Vice President Richard Wilson. 

The Stockyards will have several live music events, activities, meet and greets and mixers, as well as special appearances by Texas Country Music artists on “Texas Country Music Weekend” (September 20-22) and will include the Texas Country Music Showdown consisting of 10 bands.  More details and schedule of activities will be announced soon.

On Sunday September 22 at noon, the Stockyards Cowboy Church will hold its weekly service outdoors at the Stockyard Heritage stage, followed by a concert by Christian Country Artists Curtis Grimes and Justin Todd Herod.

On Awards show day (Sunday) the doors at Billy Bob’s will open to the public at 2:00pm with Red Carpet Interviews beginning at 3:00pm the day of the Awards with Red Carpet Host and TCMA Vice President Kristopher Young.  At 4:00pm there will be a Pre-Show Awards Ceremony hosted by Texas Country OnScene Host Erick Fayard honoring several award categories and featuring showcase artists.  The official 2019 Texas Country Music Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.

Award nomination ballots were released online April 1 and nominations closed May 15, 2019.  The TCMA Awards Committee is now determining the Finalists based on the scoring system of Fan, TCMA Member and Awards Committee member nominations.  Finalists will be announced and will go to Vote beginning June 1 and ending July 15.  The results of the final round voting will be announced at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards ceremony on Sunday, September 22 at Billy Bob’s.

The Awards show production team include Executive Producer Chad Mauldin of Mauldin Studios who produced the 2017 and 2018 Texas Country Music Awards, along with Executive Director Chris Romain with Split Window Studios and Tyler Sloan with The Hustle Hustle Collective who will be filming and producing the event for future broadcast on the Texas Country Network, it’s ROKU channel and other outlets.  Several radio stations will also be on hand to live stream the event including Texas Country Music Radio with Program Director Monty Dawson.

The TCMA’s genres cover primarily Country and Christian Country Music.   “We have members not only from Texas but all over the United States and around the world.” says Linda Wilson. “We continually work to assist, promote and support the industry and its artists by creating opportunities, marketing and promotion of its members and the Texas Country Music industry as a whole.”

“This will be a full weekend of Texas Country Music in the Stockyards with the Awards as the finale on Sunday and an after-party right there at Billy Bob’s.  We can’t wait to be able to shine a light on the great music and those in the Texas Country Music industry.  It’s definitely the biggest event for Texas Country and going to be a blast.” says TCMA Executive Vice President Richard Wilson.  There will be several events and special appearances by Texas Country Music artists on TCMA Awards weekend (September 20-22) throughout the Stockyards which will be announced later. 

Twenty-four awards will be presented at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards.  Country music superstar Mark Chesnutt served as TCMA Spokesperson for 2016-2017 and received the first ever prestigious TCMA Trailblazer Award. The Trailblazer Award recipient for 2018 was the legendary Mr. Red Steagall, and the 2019 Trailblazer Awards recipient will be announced later.

Award nomination ballots will be released online beginning April 1 and ending May 15, 2019.  The TCMA Awards Committee will then determine the Finalists based on the scoring system of Fan, TCMA Member and Awards Committee member nominations.  Finalists will be announced and will go to vote beginning June 1 and ending July 15.  The results of the final round voting will be announced at the 2019 Texas Country Music Awards ceremony on Sunday, September 22.

The Awards show production team will include Producer Chad Mauldin of Mauldin Studios who produced the 2017 and 2018 Texas Country Music Awards, along with Executive Producer Chris Romain with Split Window Studios and Tyler Sloan with The Hustle Hustle Collective who will be filming and producing the event for broadcast at a later date.  Several broadcast and radio stations will also be on hand to live stream the event including Texas Country Music Radio.

The TCMA’s genres currently cover primarily Country Music and Christian Country Music.   “We have members not only from Texas but all over the United States and around the world.” says Linda Wilson. “We continually work to assist, promote and support the industry and its artists by creating opportunities, marketing and promotion of its members and the Texas Country Music industry as a whole.”

She goes on, “We don’t just organize and host an annual Awards show.  TCMA has many projects already in place and more on the horizon all to benefit the music, the artists and all of those behind the scenes to make it happen.”  Just a few of the projects TCMA already has in place are the TCMA Songwriter’s Contest, Texas Country Music Radio, Texas Country Music Chart, Texas Country Airplay Worldwide Chart, Texas Country OnScene TV show and Texas Country Music Showcase.    Projects in the works are Texas Country Network, Texas Country Music Summit, Texas Country Showdown and Texas Airplay.  The 2019 TCMA Songwriter contest is currently open for entries.  Songwriter winners are invited to perform their winning song during 2019 Texas Country Music Awards Pre-Show.
