For Immediate Release New Type of Texas Radio Airplay Chart is Here! Texas Country Music Association Unveils Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA Through Muzooka Partnership Carthage, TX (July 8, 2026) The Texas Country Music Association (TCMA) has entered into a partnership with Muzooka, the music data provider utilized by BMI, SESAC and other Performing Rights Organizations (PROs), to launch the Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA. The new chart is designed to expand radio airplay reporting for the Texas Country music industry while complementing—rather than replacing—the long-established Texas Country Music Chart. "The Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA is an expanded airplay chart that reflects the music our panel of Texas radio stations is actually playing," said TCMA President Linda Wilson. "It gives the industry another valuable reporting tool while working alongside our existing Texas Country Music Chart." Powered by Muzooka's proprietary music recognition technology, the Texas Country Chart Enhanced automatically identifies and tracks music without requiring artists or record labels to upload songs for fingerprinting. Instead, newly released recordings are fingerprinted through Muzooka's technology as they become available through digital music services, allowing the system to recognize and report airplay across participating radio stations. "This technology allows us to report a broader spectrum of the music receiving airplay," Wilson added. "Rather than tracking only songs that have been submitted for monitoring, the Enhanced Chart captures all eligible music identified through Muzooka's automated recognition system." The Texas Country Music Chart will continue to operate under its current methodology. Artists and record labels will continue submitting singles through www.TexasCountryMusicChart.com, where recordings are fingerprinted within the TCMC monitoring system and tracked across the chart's monitored panel of Texas radio stations. Although each chart uses a different methodology, the two reporting systems are designed to work together. The Texas Country Music Chart provides airplay data based on artist-submitted recordings, while the Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA uses Muzooka's automated music recognition technology to capture a wider range of songs being broadcast. Together, the two charts provide independent yet complementary sources of airplay data. By comparing results generated through two separate tracking methodologies, they reinforce and validate one another, giving artists, radio programmers, promoters, record labels, and industry professionals greater confidence in the accuracy, transparency, and credibility of the reported airplay. The combined reporting offers one of the most comprehensive views of Texas Country radio available today. Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA will be available for viewing on www.texascountrymusic.org and www.texascountrymusicchart.com as of late today. Promoters, artists, managers, and record labels can subscribe to Muzooka's reporting platform HERE to gain powerful insight into their radio airplay across 9,000+ stations worldwide. The service allows subscribers to track both current and catalog releases, view detailed airplay reports, and identify every participating radio station in the Muzooka database that has broadcast their music—not just the stations included on the Texas Country Chart Enhanced by TCMA reporting panel. This provides users with a much broader view of their radio exposure, helping them evaluate promotional campaigns, measure airplay performance, and identify opportunities for growth in markets around the world. Muzooka is also developing a second subscription option that will allow users to track the radio spins single song. This affordable option will enable artists, managers, promoters, and record labels to monitor the radio airplay of an individual artist’s releases while still accessing detailed reporting from participating stations throughout the Muzooka network. TCMA will share information and the subscription link with the Texas Country music community as soon as this new option becomes available. If you have any questions at all, please contact TCMA President Linda Wilson at 903-472-8008 or linda@texascountrymusic.org |
